Rommel Agatep: Who Am I?

Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Rommel Agatep, I am currently a photography student and I aspire to be a full-time photographer. In my work I mainly focus on landscapes, cityscapes, and architecture. Though I also have a fascination with product photography and studio portraits. In my personal style, I enjoy high key images, punchy but not overly done colors, and pride myself in tack-sharp images with the use of strong composition to create timeless imagery. As a person, I’ve been described as charismatic, kind, talented, and, smiley. But the one quality that I shamelessly admire most about myself is that I am a dreamer. I dream of being the premiere landscape photographer in the world. I dream of traveling the world capturing the finest features of our planet and sharing them with the world. I think the value of landscape photography comes from the emotions it can hold for each individual. Seeing a large print of a beautiful landscape for one person can bring them back in time to a special moment and for another represent peace or hope . For some it may just be the final piece that ties the bow and completes the vision of their dream home. These are the things that get me out of bed everyday to pursue. I’m inspired by the beauty of nature, the incredible work of the legendary photographers that came before I and the opportunity to share all of that with you.
